TechYou Media sees Red One Digital Cinema as an entirely new medium.

RED ONE Digital Cinema™ is revolutionary break through in cinema production. It is the first true digital format that shoots the quality of 35mm Film with the convenience of a purely digital environment. TechYou Media is proud to be one of the first companies in Canada to adopt this amazing new Digital Medium.

RED ONE shoots 4K Redcode Raw (4520 X 2540), four times the resolution of current High Definition formats. With its modular design, the camera can be used EFP style or loaded up to shoot a feature film. Options include RED-RAIL™ mounting accessories that "grow" the camera body. DOP's can configure for tripod, crane or long lens applications. High-resolution RED monitors come equipped with advanced tools for framing, exposure and focus. The RED ONE™ body and RED-RAIL components provide numerous mounting points to allow hundreds of optional RED and third party accessories.

Red does not capture in any standard or high definition formats, but can be scaled down to any required format iin post-production.

The Red One camera body weighs around ten pounds.[2] Dimensions are 12.02" long x 6.34" tall x 5.2" wide.[3] The camera is based around a modular design concept. It has many mounting points, and accessories like recording devices, viewfinders, etc. are mounted to the camera, rather than being integral parts of the body.

The recording formats include (4520×2540 pixels, progressive scan) - 4K RAW RedCode, 4K RAW 2:1 RedCode, 2K RAW RedCode.

While the primary function for TechYou Media's Red One camera wil be the production of their own film and television projects, the camera and accessories will be made available for rental to qualified individuals and companies.
